Rotomolding & Rotolining

In addition to liners and coatings, Allied Supreme Corp. is also a provider of rotationally molded and lined parts. Rotomolding and rotolining are excellent solutions to handling complex shapes.

Rotomolding

The resin is placed inside a metal mold which is heated to the fluoropolymer’s melting point and rotated on Multi-axis rotation. When the resin is melted, it flows around the inside of the mold and the coating of the entire interior surface is even. The mold is cooled while still rotating to create a uniform thickness throughout the interior of the mold. When the resin is sufficiently rigid, the cooling and mold rotation is stopped to allow the removal of the finished product from the mold.

Rotolining

Rotolining is very similar to rotomolding, except that the metal mold becomes the exterior of the finished part. The key benefits of rotolining are that the lining can be made significantly thicker than by other methods and that complex shaped equipment with limited access can be lined without difficulty.
